The contract upgrade marks the first step in the transition from the original BGT model to a simpler, more sustainable incentive system centered on sWBERA. The complete transition is divided into two phases: the contract change takes effect on July 7th, and WBERA will begin to be distributed to replace BGT; the hard fork on July 8th will completely stop BGT production, and the old mechanism will be officially shut down. After the transition is completed, BGT LST Reward Vaults and BGT LST incentives will be gradually phased out in the coming days. The official team will provide migration tools for all users on the Hub's Portfolio page, but the migration will not be automatic; users need to manually replace BGT and BGT LSTs with sWBERA. Early APR may fluctuate, but it is estimated that it can increase up to 3 times the original. The hard fork will take place on July 8th at 16:00 UTC (12:00 PM EDT).

Under the new mechanism, the South Korean spot foreign exchange market will open at 6:00 AM every Monday and trade continuously until 6:00 AM on Saturday, achieving 120 hours of continuous trading per week. It covers fixes and improvements to single-asset vaults, permissioned DEXs, multi-purpose tokens, and lending protocols, and its current support rate is far lower than the software adoption rate. Ripple has voted in favor of the amendment, and validators who do not upgrade before the amendment's activation may face the risk of having their Ledger connection severed.

The team has opened a dedicated governance space on the Snapshot platform and established a Foundation Security Committee to oversee overall management, thus initiating co-governance with the community. ROBO holders can vote free of charge on Snapshot, with voting weight calculated based on token holdings. All proposals, votes, and decisions are publicly recorded. Proposals undergo preliminary evaluation, community discussion, a five-day snapshot voting period, council review, and final decision announcement. The council is also responsible for preventing risks such as bribery and Sybil attacks. Founding members of the Foundation's Security Committee include Jerry Huang, founder of Silicon Valley Center of Robotics; Shivani Phull, director of HashPoint Advisory; and Clara Cheng, business head of Thrive Horizon Ltd. The first proposal is a preliminary evaluation of the first phase of the ROBO governance system, which the community can view and vote on in the official Snapshot space.
