According to Odaily Odaily, Sui stated in an article published on the X platform that gas-free transfers on Sui can keep the workflow of intelligent agents running continuously. The agents can continue to call APIs, execute tasks, and run autonomously without freezing or downtime.
Since June 10, Sui has processed nearly $65 billion in 0-gas stablecoin transactions.
According to statistics from Odaily security company CertiK, the Sui blockchain has processed nearly $65 billion in zero-gas stablecoin transactions since June 10th; and since the beginning of 2024, the cumulative stablecoin transaction volume on the Sui network has exceeded $2.27 trillion. Sui states that zero-gas stablecoin transactions eliminate a significant amount of additional costs that hinder adoption, allowing funds to flow as freely as messages.
Sui officially released a recap of the mainnet outage: the three major failures were caused by an upgrade, and no confirmed transactions were rolled back.
Odaily Odaily reports that the official Sui Chinese website released a recap of the mainnet outage, stating that the Sui mainnet experienced three network failures on Thursday, May 28th, and Friday, May 29th, 2026 (Pacific Time - 7). The first two failures stemmed from a crash vulnerability in the interaction between the Gas billing logic and the recently released version 1.72 (which introduced the Address Balances feature). The fix for Thursday's incident was temporary, aimed at restoring network operation as quickly as possible while the Sui core team developed a long-term solution. The team was aware that this temporary fix had a very low probability of causing further network failures, but accepted the risk to restore mainnet operation as quickly as possible. On Friday morning, the network triggered another variant of this known issue, resulting in another outage. The third failure occurred during the routine Epoch switch on Friday afternoon. When the validator nodes restarted the nodes to deploy the fix from Friday morning, a long-dormant random number state preservation flaw was triggered, causing the network to fail again. The outage times are as follows: First time: Thursday, approximately 7:00 AM PT started, 1:30 PM PT recovered; Second time: Friday, approximately 5:00 AM PT started, 8:30 AM PT recovered; Third time: Friday, approximately 1:30 PM PT started, 7:20 PM PT recovered. Throughout the entire incident, user funds remained safe, and no confirmed transactions were rolled back after the network was restored. Currently, the validator nodes have fully patched the original Gas Charging and Randomness State vulnerabilities, and network activity has returned to normal.
Sui's mainnet has stopped accepting user transactions due to an epoch change issue.
According to Mars Finance, Sui stated on the X platform that due to an issue during an epoch change, the Sui mainnet has stopped accepting user transactions. Validator nodes are still running and creating system transactions, but are currently unable to accept user transactions. The Sui core team is investigating the issue and will release updates as soon as they become available.
