PANews reported on June 9th that, according to Cryptopolitan, a new type of macOS malware called Reaper is spreading through fake download pages for apps like WeChat and Miro, targeting the theft of cryptocurrency wallet data, browser passwords, and sensitive documents. This malware uses AppleScript URLs to trigger the system's built-in script editor, hiding malicious code with ASCII art and spaces. After clicking the run button, a fake Apple security update pop-up tricks the victim into entering their computer password. Reaper targets desktop encryption applications such as Ledger Live, Trezor Suite, and Exodus, modifying the wallet's internal code to intercept future transactions and redirect funds.

According to Beating, Google announced the integration of Spark Agent into Gemini on macOS, transforming it from a simple chat window into a local assistant capable of controlling your computer. Once licensed, Gemini Spark can handle mundane desktop tasks, such as automatically organizing all PDFs in a download folder into different directories, reading local invoices and automatically generating budget spreadsheets in Google Workspace, and even setting scheduled updates. Another highlight is the upcoming remote execution capability. In the future, even when away from the computer, users can send commands to the Mac via their mobile phones to search for sales reports locally and extract data to send via email. Simultaneously, Spark has expanded its connectivity, supporting the open MCP protocol for easy integration of custom tools by developers, and also connecting with popular applications such as Keep, Tasks, Canva, and Dropbox, allowing users to directly access cloud files or convert fragmented notes into to-do items within chat. Currently, the Spark Agent on the macOS client is first available for beta testing in the United States for Google AI Ultra subscribers.

According to Odaily Odaily, Exodus, a US-listed cryptocurrency wallet service provider, released its May operating data, revealing that it increased its holdings by 27 Bitcoins last month, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 656. It also increased its holdings by 1,439 SOL, bringing its current SOL holdings to 20,673. However, it reduced its holdings by 439 ETH last month, bringing its Ethereum holdings down to 1,433. Furthermore, Exodus's cryptocurrency transaction processing volume in May reached $383 million, higher than April's $347 million, and its monthly active users reached 1.5 million, unchanged from the end of April. Following the recent release of the desktop preview version, the new version officially pushes the Hermes framework into the productivity stage through remote gateway connectivity and web-based configuration. The core upgrade is the introduction of WebSocket-based remote gateway connectivity on the desktop, supporting secure verification via OAuth or username/password. Users can run the desktop graphical interface on lightweight laptops while hosting significant AI computing power and API keys on remote servers or in home labs. The web-based control panel has also been upgraded to a full-featured backend management system. Users no longer need to manually edit configuration files via SSH login to the server; they can directly enable or disable the MCP tool directory, bind instant messaging channels such as Telegram, Discord, and Slack, manage credentials and webhooks, and adjust system memory within their browser. Furthermore, to serve Chinese developers, the new version provides complete Simplified Chinese localization support for the desktop version. In terms of core logic and ease of use, the default skill set has been streamlined, removing redundant and outdated tools to reduce the context burden on the model, and incorporating NVIDIA/skills trusted Taps.
