Oobit, a payment application supported by Tether, has connected to the Brazilian PIX network, enabling USDT payment settlements.

This allows users to deposit Brazilian Real (BRL) within the Oobit app, exchange for and hold USDT, and then complete daily payments through the PIX network. Oobit stated that users can send USDT to any PIX Key or scan a QR code to pay; on-chain settlement is completed in the background, while the front-end experience is consistent with the PIX process in existing banking applications.
