PANews reported on June 30th that, according to The Block, Bank of New York Mellon (BNY) and Circle Internet Group have expanded their partnership, adding USDC minting and redemption capabilities to its digital asset custody platform. Institutional clients can now hold USDC in their BNY digital wallets and directly instruct the bank to complete two-way exchanges between USD and USDC. USDC becomes the first stablecoin supported on the platform, and BNY stated that it will gradually support more stablecoin issuers in the future, initially supporting USDC on the Ethereum and Solana chains.
