Industrial Securities: The news regarding Meta's external leasing and sales of computing power should not be interpreted overly pessimistically as a sign of computing power surplus.
According to Mars Finance, on Wednesday, news that Meta plans to sell its surplus AI computing power triggered a sharp correction in global AI hardware and high-flying technology stocks. Xingye Securities believes that the news regarding Meta's external leasing and sale of computing power should not be interpreted overly pessimistically as a surplus of computing power/a comprehensive slowdown in Capex, because (1) this is not new news; there were related reports in May of this year; (2) Meta is a special case among hyperscalers; its toC-oriented business means its AI monetization capabilities mainly rely on advertising, and its exploration of cloud business can improve shareholder returns and cash flow; (3) Meta still has a computing power gap; this week, it was just reported that Google restricted its access and Meta signed an agreement with Crusoe; (4) hardware demand comes from inference, not from inflation on the training side. XRP Ledger v3.2.0 launched: Node upgrade rate only 43%, and voting on the accompanying security amendment is lagging.
PANews reported on July 8th that, according to CoinDesk, the new version of XRP Ledger server software, v3.2.0, has been launched, aiming to reduce operating costs, improve stability, and enhance its appeal to institutional users. Currently, of the approximately 833 active nodes, 43% are running the new version, while 51% are still using the older v3.1.3. However, about 89% of the 35 validators with default UNL have upgraded, reaching the 80% threshold required for activation. The accompanying security amendment, fixCleanup3_2_0, is still under separate voting. It covers fixes and improvements to single-asset vaults, permissioned DEXs, multi-purpose tokens, and lending protocols, and its current support rate is far lower than the software adoption rate. Ripple has voted in favor of the amendment, and validators who do not upgrade before the amendment's activation may face the risk of having their Ledger connection severed.

Foresight News , Secret Network, the privacy public chain within the Cosmos ecosystem, has announced a partnership with Arbitrum, with its token SCRT planned to migrate to the Arbitrum network. Secret will conduct a one-time snapshot of SCRT holdings on September 1, 2026. Following the snapshot, a new ERC-20 version of SCRT will be issued on Arbitrum, which holders can claim using Merkle root proofs. No prior asset deposit is required, and there is no deadline for claiming. The snapshot covers native SCRT and staked SCRT (including those being unbound), but excludes sSCRT, SCRT held in contracts or liquidity pools, and cross-chain tokens. Users must convert these back to native SCRT or staked SCRT before September 1st. In addition, the team proposed lowering the SCRT inflation rate from 9% to 5%, and stated that once approved by the community governance vote, SCRT Labs will cease maintaining the Secret Network and open-source all its code under a permissive license. This proposal is currently still pending on-chain governance confirmation.
