BitMEX has replaced its CEO, CFO, and head of growth.
PANews reported on June 29th that, according to CoinDesk, crypto exchage BitMEX has replaced its management team. CEO Stephan Lutz, CFO Ina Steiner, and Chief Growth Officer Raphael Polansky have all resigned, and former Global General Counsel and COO Peter Wilkinson has taken over as CEO. BitMEX was co-founded in 2014 by Arthur Hayes, Ben Delo, and Samuel Reed. In 2020, it was indicted for inadequate anti-money laundering measures and subsequently pleaded guilty. The three co-founders resigned shortly after criminal charges were filed in the United States. Lutz took over as CEO in 2022 during the last cryptocurrency downturn.
ZachXBT accused Arthur Hayes of using fans as "exit liquidity."

According to Specter, a Odaily intelligence firm, Arthur Hayes promoted HYPE, ZEC, and NEAR, which he called "Holy Trinity," predicting HYPE would reach $150 and publishing a Substack article to promote it. Several days later, Hayes sold all three tokens. He then promoted WLD, stating "This shitcoin is going to the moon"; three days later, he announced "I'm out." Afterward, he promoted CADRs, giving a target price of $4; one day later, a linked wallet deposited 1.9 million CADRs into an exchange. In 2024, Hayes promoted ENA, depositing $8.4 million worth of ENA into a CEX approximately one hour later. Specter reports that Arthur Hayes' BitMine has also been accused of operating an insider trading division, price manipulation, and insider trading. Arthur Hayes is currently promoting SYN.
Arthur Hayes purchased 6.16 million SYN tokens from FlowDesk, worth approximately $2.2 million.
PANews reported on June 29 that, according to Onchain Lens monitoring, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes bought 6.16 million SYN tokens (US$2.2 million) from FlowDesk.
Arthur Hayes's linked wallet received another 1,400 ETH, bringing his total holdings to 4,400 ETH.
According to Onchain Lens Odaily, Arthur Hayes' (@CryptoHayes) linked wallet received an additional 1,400 ETH, worth $2.51 million, from FalconX. The wallet currently holds 4,400 ETH, worth $7.89 million.
