Russian stablecoin projects aim to move away from the USDT system and promote cross-border crypto settlement of rubles.
PANews reported on May 17th that, according to CoinDesk, A7A5, a stablecoin project based on the Russian ruble, stated that even if the situation between Russia and Ukraine eases and some sanctions are lifted in the future, the stablecoin still has long-term viability. Its core value lies in cross-border settlement efficiency, profitability, and the construction of regional crypto payment infrastructure. The stablecoin previously had a market capitalization of approximately $500 million. Initially designed to help Russia bypass banking restrictions, it aims to further develop into a "direct settlement channel between stablecoins," enabling direct exchange with other stablecoins without relying on USDT, USDC, or the US dollar system.

The Aave Chan Initiative has officially ceased operations; Marc Zeller announces new project.
PANews reported on July 1st that Aave Chan Initiative (ACI) founder Marc Zeller disclosed that Aave DAO delegation and service provider ACI officially ceased operations today, marking the end of this community-driven governance platform after more than three years of operation. According to Zeller, ACI was founded during a DeFi downturn, when Aave's TVL had shrunk to a quarter of its peak, and the protocol was losing approximately $35 million annually. During its tenure, ACI helped Aave turn around the protocol's performance, generating $150 million in annual revenue, driving a nine-fold increase in AAVE's price, and establishing a mature DAO governance and service network. Marc stated that the end of ACI is not the end of the journey, and new project plans will be announced soon.

The Hyper Foundation has allocated approximately $10 million to support USDH's exit and migration, covering HIP-1/3 and HyperEVM ecosystem projects.
PANews reported on June 28th that the Hyper Foundation announced it will provide approximately $10 million in grants to developers affected by the USDH decommissioning process. These grants will cover migration costs and support a smooth ecosystem transition. The funds will be distributed to affected ecosystem participants, including HIP-1 spot deployers, HIP-3 perpetual contract deployers, the HyperEVM protocol, the USDH:USDC cross-chain bridge, and Native Markets. Migration grants are for teams migrating USDH-related markets or deployments to USDC; decommissioning grants are for projects choosing to terminate their USDH-related businesses, with amounts lower than equivalent migration options, to encourage a smooth ecosystem transition. HIP-1 and HIP-3 grants are calculated based on auction deployment costs, while HyperEVM grants are assessed based on the impact on USDH TVL.
