Taiko network is back online, and all cross-chain assets have been replenished.
According to Foresight News , Taiko tweeted that its network has been restored and no users have lost any funds. The team has completed the second and third phases of the recovery: cross-chain assets are now matched 1:1 (fully matched with Ethereum mainnet assets), and users can transfer, exchange, and trade normally. The only remaining step is to reopen cross-chain functionality with the Ethereum mainnet, which the team says is nearing completion, and user funds will remain safe during this period.
Taiko: The attack path on June 21 has been blocked, and the network will be restarted in four steps.
According to Foresight News , Taiko has announced that the attack path that occurred on June 21 has been blocked. The relevant fix has been reviewed by independent security experts, and users' funds will not be lost. The team has developed a four-step restart plan: First, deploy the fix and confirm the final state of the chain is correct, ensuring there are no forged checkpoints or claim paths that could be exploited by attackers. This step will be reviewed by the Security Council. Second, replenish the cross-chain bridge funds to ensure that L2 assets are fully backed 1:1 and can be verified on-chain by anyone. Third, restore network operation and reopen the transfer, exchange, and trading functions on L2. Fourth, after confirming that the chain can be stably finalized and the network is operating stably, the Security Council will submit a proposal to lift the suspension of the cross-chain bridge. Users will then be able to freely transfer funds between Taiko and other chains. The team will use conservative withdrawal limits as an additional security measure, but it is not expected to restrict users' normal asset transfers.
Taiko: User funds will not be affected; the cross-chain bridge will be opened after assets are 100% replenished.
According to Foresight News , Taiko tweeted that the previous security incident did not result in any loss of user funds. The cross-chain bridge is currently undercollateralized, and the team will replenish the assets to 100% before reopening, ensuring that the balance is backed by assets at a 1:1 ratio. Furthermore, its CEO has submitted a formal report to the Singaporean authorities and will fully cooperate in the accountability process. The team is currently testing a fix, and a safe restart of the mainnet and cross-chain functionality is very close.
Taiko: The cause of the attack has been identified, and the chain will be restored in the coming days.
According to Foresight News , Taiko tweeted that the root cause of the attack has been thoroughly identified, the team has developed a remediation plan, and the blockchain will be safely restored to operation within the next few days. Taiko stated that he is aware that some users were affected and will prioritize addressing their issues, working with the DAO council to explore the best solution.
