Cosmos Labs Co-CEO: dYdX's shift to RWA is a rational choice with limited impact on ATOM.

According to Foresight News , Cosmos Labs co-CEO Barry Plunkett tweeted his comments on dYdX's partnership with Robinhood to launch Arcus. dYdX has proven it can run seriously on-chain and drive industry development, but in recent years has faced pressure from new-generation perpetual contract competitors like Hyperliquid and Lighter, the overall decline of DeFi, and Web 2.5 products like Kalshi. He sees dYdX's shift to RWA through its partnership with Robinhood, which has strong distribution capabilities, as a "rational choice." He believes the impact on ATOM is very limited. The dYdX Chain remains a sovereign chain, and its fees, security, and value accumulation contribute very little to ATOM. The ATOM community also did not pay for the migration of dYdX to Cosmos. This further confirms the Cosmos team's assessment: for teams with distribution capabilities and leading products, having an underlying platform is crucial. Cosmos is currently focused on building tokenized deposit solutions for banks.

The Smarter Web Company CEO: Q2 marks the company's shift from a Bitcoin treasury to an enhanced Bitcoin company.

According to Foresight News , Andrew Webley, CEO of Bitcoin treasury company Smarter Web Company, tweeted that the second quarter was the most significant quarter since the company became a publicly traded company. The company is transforming from a simple "Bitcoin treasury company" into an "Amplified Bitcoin" company. Its core is to increase the number of Bitcoins per share in the long term through the responsible use of balance sheet and capital market instruments, rather than simply holding Bitcoins. In addition, the company has recently taken several measures, including continuously increasing its Bitcoin holdings, introducing moderate leverage, simplifying its capital structure, appointing a new CFO, strengthening financial analysis and disclosure, and simultaneously developing its business operations. It also noted that this "amplification" strategy will bring greater volatility, but its long-term goals remain unchanged.

Kalshi becomes an official FIFA partner; CEO says there will be no IPO this year.

According to Foresight News , citing The New York Times, prediction market platform Kalshi announced on Friday that it has become an official FIFA partner through a branding and product agreement with existing FIFA World Cup prediction market partner ADI Predictstreet. Its brand will appear on advertising billboards at World Cup stadiums and in television and online broadcasts. A Kalshi spokesperson revealed that the platform's cumulative trading volume in the first two weeks of the World Cup reached nearly $10 billion, with peak daily trading volume exceeding $1.6 billion during the tournament, far surpassing the pre-tournament level of nearly $1 billion. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that, driven by this, Kalshi's annualized revenue has well over $2 billion. ADI Predictstreet, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, officially launched shortly before the start of this World Cup. Despite frequent advertising on stadium screens and broadcasts, its actual trading volume has been limited, with some events seeing bets of less than $20, according to a report this week by Front Office Sports. Under the terms of the partnership, Kalshi will direct international betting traffic to the ADI Predictstreet platform. In an interview with CNBC, Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour confirmed that the company is considering an IPO, but will not launch it this year, stating, "Given our financial situation and growth rate, such discussions are bound to happen." Previously, The Information, citing anonymous sources, reported that Kalshi had had informal contacts with investment banks regarding an IPO.

CME Group CEO: Will sue the US CFTC over perpetual contracts.

Foresight News , Terrence Duffy, CEO of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group), stated on CNBC's "Fast Money" program that the exchange operator plans to sue the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) over perpetual contracts. "Under the Dodd-Frank Act, perpetual contracts are effectively swaps. We have exclusive licensing agreements with each benchmark provider. Therefore, regardless of whether perpetual contracts are involved, all these products must be traded through the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). If the final ruling is so, they must list these products as swaps."
