DWF Labs: Equity RWA perpetual contract open interest surpasses commodity open interest for the first time in June.
According to Foresight News , DWF Labs tweeted that equity RWA perpetual contract open interest (OI) surpassed commodities for the first time in June, becoming the largest category of RWA perpetual contracts. Equity RWA OI increased 7.9 times from $166 million at the beginning of the year to $1.3 billion, accounting for 35% of total RWA open interest that month; commodities followed closely with $1.2 billion. This growth was mainly driven by popular memory stocks such as SK Hynix, Micron, and SanDisk.
Saga sells its crypto division and launches AI Labs, shifting its focus to an AI consumer platform.
According to Foresight News , blockchain company Saga announced the establishment of Saga AI Labs, focusing on developing AI consumer platforms and autonomous digital personalities. It also announced the sale of its cryptocurrency business and the transfer of blockchain network operation and management rights to Alapin Holdings, a subsidiary of dao5. Saga AI Labs has already implemented AI character projects with multiple game partners and plans to expand its business to consumer brands, sports, and other fields in the future.
Castle Labs: LIT surges over 80%, primarily driven by token economic updates and partnership with Robinhood.
PANews reported on July 7th that, according to Castle Labs, the Lighter ecosystem token LIT has surged by over 80% in the past 30 days. On June 30th, Lighter announced an updated token economic model, burning approximately 15.5 million LIT (6.3% of the total supply) repurchased with protocol revenue. Based on the current staking scale of 125 million LIT, the target annualized staking yield is 6%, with an expected annual allocation of 7.5 million LIT. Simultaneously, Lighter partnered with Robinhood Wallet, which will provide contract trading using USDG as the denominated asset through Lighter instances deployed on the Robinhood Chain.
SafePal integrates with Robinhood's L2 mainnet, deepening the RWAFi deployment.
According to Foresight News , Web3 wallet brand SafePal has integrated with the Robinhood L2 mainnet. Furthermore, SafePal has launched trading of Robinhood Chain native stock tokens and will collaborate with perpetual contract DEXs to improve on-chain liquidity and trading depth for these assets. Currently, SafePal has integrated with tokenized asset service providers such as xStocks and Ondo, providing users with on-chain investment channels for stocks such as NVIDIA, Tesla, and SpaceX, S&P 500 ETFs, and commodities such as gold.
Robinhood CEO: The future of cryptocurrency lies in real-world assets, not Memecoin.
PANews reported on July 3rd that, according to The Block, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated in an interview with CNBC that the key to growth in the crypto industry lies in the on-chaining of real-world assets, not meme tokens. Tenev stated, "If an asset isn't linked to underlying utility, it's not a productive asset," and believes that traditional finance and crypto are converging. He added, "Everything that runs on traditional tracks will eventually be on-chain and tokenized, like an unstoppable freight train." Robinhood launched its Stock Tokens service on Wednesday, allowing qualified users to trade tokenized stocks 24/7, and plans to offer exposure to private companies like OpenAI. Tenev stated that Bitcoin won't become irrelevant, but the next phase of growth in the industry will come from the tokenization of real-world assets.
