The report states that Google informed Meta around March that it could not meet Meta's demand for the full amount of Gemini computing power it sought to purchase, adding that this shortfall disrupted and delayed some of Meta's internal AI projects. The report also notes that several other Google customers were affected, but to a lesser extent. The Financial Times reports that Meta was particularly hard hit due to its unusually high demand for Google's models.
