DeFi researcher Ignas: He is bullish on ETH if the Ethereum Foundation delivers the "simplified roadmap" on time; however, delays coupled with a bear market could be bearish.

According to Foresight News , DeFi researcher Ignas commented on Vitalik Buterin's previously released "simplified Ethereum" roadmap, stating, "If the Ethereum Foundation can deliver on time, I'm bullish on ETH. The roadmap is very attractive because it addresses most of the key demands raised by the community, including L1 reclaiming execution control from L2, privacy protection, quantum resistance, and second-level finality, but the issue of tokenomics remains unaddressed." It also pointed out that the most anticipated part of the roadmap will be implemented after 2028, with the final goal set for 2029. If the Ethereum Foundation (EF) delivery schedule is delayed and the bear market continues, it may negatively impact the price of ETH, as competing projects such as Tempo and Canton are posing a challenge to Ethereum in the areas of real-world assets (RWA) and institutional adoption.

The Fabric Foundation has launched the ROBO governance system and established a Foundation Security Committee.

According to Foresight News , the Fabric Foundation announced that the ROBO governance system has been officially launched. The team has opened a dedicated governance space on the Snapshot platform and established a Foundation Security Committee to oversee overall management, thus initiating co-governance with the community. ROBO holders can vote free of charge on Snapshot, with voting weight calculated based on token holdings. All proposals, votes, and decisions are publicly recorded. Proposals undergo preliminary evaluation, community discussion, a five-day snapshot voting period, council review, and final decision announcement. The council is also responsible for preventing risks such as bribery and Sybil attacks. Founding members of the Foundation's Security Committee include Jerry Huang, founder of Silicon Valley Center of Robotics; Shivani Phull, director of HashPoint Advisory; and Clara Cheng, business head of Thrive Horizon Ltd. The first proposal is a preliminary evaluation of the first phase of the ROBO governance system, which the community can view and vote on in the official Snapshot space.

Ethereum Foundation: Ethereum can be used in government applications such as digital identity, public records, and asset tokenization.

Odaily Odaily reports that the Ethereum Foundation's Global Policy Strategy Team has released policy guidelines for governments and institutions, positioning Ethereum as a critical public infrastructure. The report states that Ethereum has maintained uninterrupted operation since its launch in 2015, with approximately $76 billion worth of staked ETH secured as of March 2026. It boasts a geographically distributed validator network, multiple independent client implementations, and a large developer ecosystem. The Foundation states that many current digital services rely on centralized intermediaries, posing risks such as single points of failure, cyberattacks, or political pressure. Ethereum's decentralized architecture is better suited for applications such as digital identity, public records, and asset tokenization. The report points to successful examples such as decentralized identity initiatives in Bhutan and Buenos Aires, and an Ethereum-based land registration project in India, demonstrating that governments have begun exploring this technology.

The Ethereum Foundation has fulfilled its five-year funding commitment to the Argot Collective, and approximately 4,938 stETH will be unlocked in batches.

According to Mars Finance, on June 30th, Argot Collective and the Ethereum Foundation (EF) announced that they have completed the final phase of their initial five-year funding commitment. Approximately 4,938 stETH will be transferred to a multisignature wallet and will be unlocked in batches on July 1, 2026, and July 1, 2027, respectively. The first three years of funding were fully disbursed last year, and the remaining two years were postponed due to pending finalization of terms and governance arrangements. The funds are held in escrow by a 2-of-3 multisignature wallet comprised of Argot, the newly established "Invalidity Protection Committee," and the Ethereum Foundation. This committee will act as an independent arbitrator, upholding Argot's independence in the event of disputes and providing expert advice in the areas of programming languages and compilers. Argot Collective also pointed out that while this agreement provides substantial operational security, broader challenges remain: the Ethereum Foundation has limited funds, and the public infrastructure supporting DeFi, staking, and core protocols cannot rely on a single funder in the long term. The organization stated that it will continue to release transparency reports and roadmap updates every six months.

Ethlabs: Funding can support 2-3 years of operation; it has a complementary partnership with the Ethereum Foundation.

According to Foresight News , Ethlabs, an independent non-profit research and development organization supported by treasury companies such as BitMine, has responded to frequently asked questions since its founding a week ago. Regarding funding, Ethlabs stated that it has not yet disclosed the specific amount raised, but the funds already received are committed to supporting the team's operations for 2-3 years (including talent recruitment), and emphasized that it will continue to raise funds, not raise funds all at once; the community round is still open, and the team plans to close this round of funding after announcing a new batch of supporters. The donation address has been updated from eth-labs.eth to ethlabs.eth (both are acceptable). Regarding their work direction, Ethlabs stated that they are still defining specific milestones and roadmaps, but shared three main areas of focus: Chain: Core protocol work, including L1 execution layer scaling, blob scaling, and shortening final confirmation and transaction inclusion time; Platform: The middleware layer between the protocol and developers, including cross-chain interoperability, block building marketplace, and EVM roadmap; Growth: Driving the implementation of technologies such as the Fast Confirmation Rule on mainstream L2 and centralized exchanges. This rule can reduce the deposit time from Ethereum to L2/exchanges to a few seconds, but requires each party to connect individually. Regarding its relationship with the Ethereum Foundation, Ethlabs stated that the two have a complementary partnership, emphasizing that Ethereum does not belong to any single organization. EF, client teams, core developers, L2, wallets, etc., are all indispensable components, and Ethlabs is an "additional supplementary force" to Ethereum. Regarding the choice of a non-profit model, the team stated that the funders are major ETH holders and Ethereum builders, and that they will not gain control over the direction or influence the roadmap through their contributions. Furthermore, the team believes that the mechanism of "continuous fundraising in the future" itself provides a form of accountability.
