PANews reported on July 8th that Coinbase has launched the "Coinbase Champions Cup: India" perpetual contract trading competition in India, with a total prize pool of up to approximately 350,000 USDC (approximately 330 million rupees). (hereinafter referred to as "China Government-Enterprise Cooperation Fund") recently issued a statement saying that the company has noticed a false report circulating online titled "China Resources New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. and China Government-Enterprise Cooperation Investment Fund Co., Ltd. Complete Merger and Acquisition to Jointly Pursue Listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange." The report is entirely false information and seriously contradicts the company's actual situation. According to China Government-Enterprise Cooperation Fund, since its establishment, all of its business activities have strictly complied with national laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements, and it has never conducted or authorized any entity to conduct any activities mentioned in the aforementioned false report. The company is not currently planning any mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, listing applications, or other capital operations, nor has it formulated any corresponding implementation plans. China Government-Enterprise Cooperation Fund also stated that it reserves the right to pursue legal action against any entity that forges or alters the company's seals, business licenses, or authorization documents, or impersonates the company or its employees to release false information, engage in fraud, or commit any other illegal acts that infringe upon the company's legitimate rights and interests. Odaily Odaily reports that cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini has announced the launch of zero-commission stock trading services in most U.S. states, further expanding its traditional financial business and moving towards its goal of becoming a "one-stop financial super app". Gemini states that the service is currently not available to users in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and Guam. Bloomberg: Quantum computing puts approximately 34% of the existing Bitcoin supply at risk of being hacked.
PANews reported on July 7th, citing Bloomberg, that quantum computing is considered a new threat that could potentially crack the cryptographic algorithms of crypto assets such as Bitcoin. Quantum computers are expected to far surpass traditional computers in decrypting complex mathematical problems, and theoretically, could deduce private keys from public keys, thereby stealing on-chain assets. Wallets with early address formats and those that reuse addresses are at the highest risk. Galaxy Digital estimates that approximately 34% of circulating Bitcoin, worth about $470 billion, may become targets for future quantum attacks. Coinbase has established an advisory committee, and Strategy, where Michael Saylor works, has also launched a related risk project.
Canaan Technology's ADS will be listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market and an extension of the minimum share price compliance period has been applied for.
Odaily Odaily reports that Bitcoin mining company Canaan Technology has announced that its American Depositary Shares (ADSs) have been officially transferred from the Nasdaq Global Market to the Nasdaq Capital Market, with the stock code CAN remaining unchanged. The transfer will not affect its normal trading. Canaan Technology also revealed that it received a minimum share price compliance notice from Nasdaq on January 14, 2026, due to its ADS closing price remaining below $1 for 30 consecutive trading days. The original compliance period ended on July 13. After transferring its listing, it applied for an additional 180-day grace period on July 6. If approved, it will have more time to restore compliance, at which point it will need to maintain its ADS closing price above $1 for at least 10 consecutive trading days within the applicable period.
