AWS CEO: AI may reshape half of white-collar jobs, but will not lead to mass job losses.
According to ChainCatcher, citing Business Insider, Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman recently stated in an interview that concerns about AI causing mass unemployment are exaggerated. He believes that AI may change the way half of white-collar workers work, but just like the widespread adoption of Microsoft Excel, new technologies will reshape jobs while creating new opportunities, rather than directly eliminating existing ones. Furthermore, Garman emphasized the crucial value of junior employees in the AI era, believing they possess a stronger willingness to learn and adapt. Amazon is reportedly hiring over 11,000 junior software development engineers and interns globally this year.
