World allows users to trade contracts linked to cryptocurrency prices and events such as the 2026 World Cup using their Solana wallets, with plans to expand to sports, geopolitics, and macroeconomic markets in the future. The platform is non-custodial; user funds only move when participating in the market. Positions, settlements, and payouts are all completed on-chain, using Phantom's CASH stablecoin as the settlement asset. Chainlink provides the data and settlement oracle infrastructure to reduce reliance on human adjudication. World also plans to partner with more traditional financial and crypto front-end platforms for distribution in July.

According to Mars Finance, citing Jinshi, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), plans to launch new futures contracts linked to global monetary policy decisions and U.S. natural gas inventories, aiming to provide investors with a way to hedge against economic event risks. ICE plans to launch futures products based on interest rate decisions by the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and the Bank of England, and is expected to go live on August 10 after obtaining regulatory approval.

The project will test T+0 atomic PvP (payment-to-payment) settlements using regulated Euro and Korean Won-pegged stablecoins to replace the traditional T+2 settlement cycle, aiming to reduce counterparty and settlement risks in the approximately $150 billion Europe-South Korea trade corridor. Pangea will act as middleware, supporting banks to continue using the SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging standards to complete on-chain settlements via the Pangea L1 chain without restructuring existing payment systems. The on-chain infrastructure is provided by Chainlink.
