According to Foresight News , citing Cointelegraph, Australian cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx has obtained an Australian financial services license, indicating its intention to explore opportunities in the cryptocurrency payments sector. The license allows Swyftx to offer derivatives such as cryptocurrency options or futures to retail customers and authorizes it to provide non-cash payment services, enabling the fintech company to offer payment services to both business and retail clients. Swyftx interim co-CEO Andrea Yuen stated that after obtaining a license to provide payment services, the company "will no longer be a pure cryptocurrency spot exchange." Swyftx does not currently hold an AFSL license for spot cryptocurrency trading.

Swedish payment giant Klarna applies for a US banking license.

According to a CNBC report, Swedish payment giant Klarna has submitted applications to U.S. federal and state regulators to establish an FDIC-insured banking subsidiary, "Klarna Bank USA," in Utah. This would allow Klarna to offer lending, deposits, and a wider range of financial services through its own banking system. Klarna launched its stablecoin, KlarnaUSD, late last year and is reportedly collaborating with Stripe's wallet infrastructure platform, Privy, to develop a mainstream cryptocurrency wallet.

Michael Saylor: Strategy currently holds approximately $2.55 billion in cash reserves.

According to Odaily Odaily, Michael Saylor posted on the X platform that Strategy has sold 3,588 BTC, raising approximately $216 million, which will be used to pay dividends related to digital credit securities. This dividend payout covers the quarterly dividends of digital credit securities such as STRF, STRE, STRK, and STRD, as well as the full monthly dividend for STRC in June. As of July 5, 2026, Strategy still held 843,775 Bitcoins and approximately $2.55 billion in cash reserves.
