Strive CRO: Strategy's sale of 3,500 Bitcoins helps buy more BTC.
Odaily Odaily News | _2024111120230_ | An article published on the X platform states that Strive's CRO, PunterJeff Walton (@PunterJeff), explained that Strategy's recent sale of 3,500 Bitcoins is actually positive and will help it buy more BTC. He stated that this will provide more support for STRC and its future growth potential, enabling it to buy more BTC, and MSTR shareholders should take a positive view of this.
VanEck executive: Strategy's $135 million Bitcoin sale last week did not use up its BTC Monetization Program quota.
According to ChainCatcher, Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Asset Research at VanEck, stated on the X platform that, based on Strategy's latest 8-K filing, Strategy's $135 million Bitcoin sale last week did not utilize the $1.25 billion BTC Monetization Program quota. This is because the program only restricts sales used to replenish cash reserves; sales directly used to pay dividends are not included in this limit. Sigel points out that this means Strategy's actual Bitcoin sales capacity exceeds the commonly understood $1.25 billion.
Opinion: Strategy's sale of BTC helps restore market confidence in STRC and reduces Bitcoin's short-term tail risk.
According to Mars Finance, on July 6th, Zach Pandl, Head of Research at Grayscale, stated that in his view, Strategy's sale of BTC was a necessary step to restore market confidence in STRC and its overall structure. Strategy's partial BTC sale last week further reduced the short-term tail risk of Bitcoin, and STRC is expected to continue its strong performance. Previously, it was reported that Strategy sold 3,588 Bitcoins last week, raising $216 million to pay dividends on its digital credit securities. As of July 5th, the company's Bitcoin reserves had decreased to 843,775, while it held $2.55 billion in US dollar reserves.
Analysis: SpaceX's inclusion in the Nasdaq 100 index presents Bitcoin investment opportunities for passive index investors.
PANews reported on July 8th that, according to Bitcoin Magazine, SpaceX officially joined the Nasdaq 100 index on July 7th, after disclosing that its balance sheet held 18,712 bitcoins. JPMorgan Chase estimates that this index rebalancing will drive approximately $4.3 billion in passive inflows into funds and ETFs tracking the Nasdaq 100. This means that institutional capital has gained structural exposure to Bitcoin through corporate treasury channels. With SpaceX's addition, the number of companies holding Bitcoin treasuries in the Nasdaq 100 has increased to three (SpaceX, Tesla, and Strategy). Analysts point out that index inclusion creates demand driven by rules rather than active allocation, and Bitcoin holdings combined with strong fundamentals can improve a company's market visibility and liquidity.
