According to CriptoNoticias, Chilean judicial authorities have launched an investigation into the cryptocurrency platform Plusspay, alleging that it provided a money laundering channel for the transnational criminal organization Aragua Train. The investigation indicates that the platform may have used multiple affiliated companies to exchange local fiat currency for stablecoins such as Tether and USD stablecoins, and then transferred funds through the Chilean banking system, with the suspicious financial flows exceeding $84 million.
