PANews reported on July 8th that Coinbase has launched the "Coinbase Champions Cup: India" perpetual contract trading competition in India, with a total prize pool of up to approximately 350,000 USDC (approximately 330 million rupees). The prize pool will be unlocked in tiers based on the cumulative perpetual contract trading volume of all participating users; the current prize pool is 50,000 USDC. Participants must be legal residents of India, at least 18 years old, have opened a Coinbase Advanced perpetual contract account, and complete at least 100 USDC of trading volume in the designated competition account.
Binance Wallet will support Base B20 token trading.
According to Foresight News , Binance Wallet will support trading of Base B20 tokens immediately upon their listing. Meanwhile, Meme Rush will support B20 token filtering and token tagging to help users discover tokens more quickly.
Coinbase will suspend trading in IDEX, LRC, OMNI, PIRATE, and FIS on August 8th.
PANews reported on July 8th that, according to an official announcement, Coinbase will suspend trading of IDEX (IDEX), Loopring (LRC), Omni Network (OMNI), Pirate Nation (PIRATE), and StaFi (FIS) on Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime around 02:00 (UTC+8) on August 8th, 2026. The order books have been moved to limit order mode, where limit orders can be placed and cancelled, and matching may occur. Funds in the aforementioned assets will remain accessible, and users can continue to withdraw funds.
Coinbase launches GROVE-USD trading pair
PANews reported on July 7 that Coinbase announced that the GROVE-USD trading pair has been upgraded from a limit-only trading mode to a full trading mode, now supporting various order types including limit orders, market orders, and stop-loss orders.

On June 30th, Lighter announced an updated token economic model, burning approximately 15.5 million LIT (6.3% of the total supply) repurchased with protocol revenue. Based on the current staking scale of 125 million LIT, the target annualized staking yield is 6%, with an expected annual allocation of 7.5 million LIT. Simultaneously, Lighter partnered with Robinhood Wallet, which will provide contract trading using USDG as the denominated asset through Lighter instances deployed on the Robinhood Chain.
Coinbase has obtained a MiFID license in the UK, which will allow it to offer derivatives and stock trading to UK users.

Institutional and professional traders will be able to trade crypto, stock, and commodity perpetual contracts, while retail users will be able to trade stocks on the Coinbase platform for the first time. Coinbase stated that this license, together with its existing UK e-money license and crypto asset registration qualifications, forms part of its regulatory framework. It represents the largest expansion of the company's product capabilities since entering the UK market and will further advance its "Everything Exchange" strategy. In the future, the platform will also gradually support services such as stablecoin payments, savings, lending, and tokenized real-world assets (RWA).
