Bio Protocol launches OpenLabs, a crowdfunding platform focused on research crowdfunding for collaboration between humans and AI agents.

According to Foresight News , the decentralized scientific research (DeSci) platform Bio Protocol has launched OpenLabs, positioned as a coordination layer connecting scientific ideas with funding execution, allowing humans and AI agents to jointly advance research projects. The core process involves posting ideas, which are then discussed and voted on by the community to become formal projects. Projects include collaborative spaces, bounty tasks, and funding channels; mature projects can be listed on the Bio Protocol launchpad for fundraising. The platform comprises five modules: post discovery, project collaboration, agent participation, USDC yield staking (2%-4% annualized return, principal unaffected, yield only used to cover computing power costs), and a bounty system. It is currently online, with the first batch of projects showcased on the platform. Voting, private data rooms, and the launchpad will be added gradually.

While the US team plays in the World Cup, politicians are busy spending money on advertising.

Mars Finance reported on June 29th that an analysis conducted by the US advertising influencer firm for Politico on the 28th showed that the two matches played by the US national team in the USA-Canada-Mexico World Cup on June 12th and 19th attracted over $740,000 in television advertising from various political organizations. The biggest spender was a political action committee dedicated to strengthening AI regulation, which spent $240,000 on advertising during the US team's football match against Australia on June 19th. This organization hopes to support Republican and Democratic candidates and "oppose those who try to evade reasonable AI regulation by spending money." (Xinhua News Agency)

Google Gemini launches Interactions API: Reconstructing intelligent agents to end "phantom bills".

According to Beating's monitoring, Google has officially made the Interactions API the default interface in the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, while the original interface generateContent has entered maintenance. The new interface will package multi-turn dialogues, model thinking, tool calls, and execution results into a unified package and store them as Interaction resources on the server side. The most direct benefit is cost-effectiveness and labor-saving. Since the server automatically saves the dialogue state, during multi-turn chats, the client only needs to send the interaction ID of the previous step, and Google can automatically reuse it and improve the cache hit rate, significantly reducing token fees. For time-consuming tasks such as code sandbox running or deep search, developers can enable background mode to allow the work to run asynchronously in the background. In addition, intermediate steps such as model thinking and tool calls are fully visible, making it easy to troubleshoot bugs in the operation of intelligent agents in real time. The underlying refactoring directly solved the billing crisis that broke out in early June. At that time, after manually deleting the cache, due to cloud synchronization delays, the cancelled resources were still running in the background, resulting in some accounts being abnormally deducted nearly 27,000 RMB within 12 hours. Additionally, the model is prone to getting stuck in a thought loop during online searches, still charging the full amount of 64,000 tokens even in a "zero output" state with no responses. The Interactions API replaces manual deletion with a server-hosted "implicit cache" and allows developers to monitor and halt the thought process, providing a more secure billing defense. Since Google's future cutting-edge models and agent features (such as Deep Research) will only support the Interactions API, developers are officially advised to complete the adaptation as soon as possible.

Nansen integrates with Hyperliquid perpetual contract trading, supporting smart money and on-chain data analytics.

BlockBeats reported on July 7th that blockchain data analytics platform Nansen has officially launched its Hyperliquid Perp (perpetual contract trading) feature, making it available to all web and mobile users. Users can track Smart Money, whale addresses, and the on-chain activities of well-known investors while directly trading Hyperliquid perpetual contracts within Nansen. They can also view key data in real-time, such as funding rates, long/short positions, and wallet-level position distribution, achieving a seamless "research-as-trade" experience. Nansen stated that the platform has simultaneously launched the Hyperliquid Perps Leaderboard, which supports filtering by Smart Money, whale, and top traders, and can be sorted based on performance over the past 7 days, 30 days, or historical cumulative performance, helping users quickly discover leading wallet addresses. In addition, users can deposit funds from external wallets within the app, or cross-chain from connected Solana and Base wallets to Hyperliquid, and can also directly receive asset transfers from other Hyperliquid addresses. In addition to trading functionality, Nansen has further expanded its data coverage across the Hyperliquid ecosystem, including HyperFND on-chain activity monitoring and the Hyperliquid Data API. Users can track HyperEVM active addresses, contract deployments, and ecosystem growth in real time, while development teams can access real-time Smart Money perpetual contract positions, unrealized profit/loss (PnL), account health, complete trading history, and performance data via the API, supporting quantitative analysis, strategy development, and application building.
