AngelList will cease supporting cryptocurrency investments at the end of July due to the shutdown of its third-party payment service.
According to Foresight News , AngelList, a venture capital firm, announced on its official help page that it will no longer support investment and financing using cryptocurrencies starting July 31, 2026. The announcement stated that its third-party cryptocurrency payment service provider will soon cease operations, therefore the option to use digital assets such as USDC, USDT, DAI, and ETH to complete new investments, fundraising, or rolling fund subscriptions will be suspended across the platform until further notice. Other financing methods, such as ACH transfers and wire transfers, will not be affected. The announcement states that investments completed on or before July 31, 2026, will not be affected by this change and require no action from users; thereafter, users will need to use ACH or wire transfer to complete fund payments. For outstanding capital commitments originally planned to be made in cryptocurrency, AngelList advises investors to transfer all corresponding cryptocurrency assets to their AngelList accounts for safekeeping before July 30, or to complete subsequent investments via wire transfer or ACH. AngelList stated that it is evaluating the possibility of restoring digital asset financing functionality through a new service provider, but there is no definite timetable yet.
Microsoft Teams has strengthened permission management for third-party AI agents, requiring confirmation from the meeting organizer before granting access.
Microsoft has announced a new AI bot management policy for its Microsoft Teams meeting application. When a third-party AI bot attempts to join a meeting, it must first obtain approval from the meeting organizer. According to the announcement, Microsoft has added a "Manage external bots and their access to meetings" policy to the Teams admin panel. This feature is enabled by default, and administrators can apply it to specific users or user groups. When Teams detects an external AI bot attempting to join a meeting, it will first place it in the meeting lobby. Only after the meeting organizer confirms and approves it can the bot officially join the meeting. Administrators can also choose to disable this feature according to their enterprise needs. The UK is considering tightening rules on political donations, potentially restricting contributions from crypto billionaires to the Reform Britain party.
BlockBeats reported on July 6th that the UK government announced a new round of political donation reforms, proposing to extend the £100,000 cap on overseas donations to the first year after the donor becomes a UK resident, and to raise the scrutiny standards for corporate political donations, in order to further restrict the inflow of foreign funds into UK politics. The new regulations build on the ban on cryptocurrency political donations implemented in March of this year and are expected to be submitted to Parliament for final review next week. Analysts believe the new regulations may affect the political donation capabilities of key crypto industry supporters of the Reform Party (Reform UK). Christopher Harborne, an investor holding approximately 12% of Tether's shares, has donated approximately £12 million to the Reform Party and is registered to vote in the UK; BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo has donated approximately £4 million and has stated his intention to return to the UK to settle, at which point his political donations within a year of his return may be subject to the £100,000 cap. The report states that none of the donations were in cryptocurrency, and the Reform Party stated that all donations complied with current regulations. Meanwhile, party leader Nigel Farage is also facing further investigation for allegedly failing to declare non-cash support from supporter George Cottrell.
