RootData releases its third "Cryptocurrency Exchange (Stock Category) Transparency Ranking": Gate's traffic surges against the trend, while lack of transparency is the main reason MEXC falls out of the top ten.

ChainCatcher reports that Web3 asset data platform RootData released its third "Cryptocurrency Exchange Transparency Ranking (Stock Category)" today. This ranking features a significant algorithm upgrade, incorporating market makers and traffic weighting into the trading activity scoring system for the first time. A tiered coefficient calculation further eliminates inflated figures, enhancing the ranking's authenticity and reference value. The biggest change in this ranking is the official addition of OKX. Since supporting stock trading on February 25th, OKX, leveraging its compliance licenses in Singapore (MAS) and the US (FinCEN), has performed strongly in this data backtesting, ranking second on the list. Amidst a general contraction in market user activity, Gate became one of the very few exchanges to achieve traffic growth this week. Its visits climbed from 3.4M to 4.1M, and coupled with a stable stock asset reserve of over 110, it further solidified its leading position in this niche market. In contrast, MEXC underperformed this week and dropped off the list. Last week, it topped the list with 10.8M visits, but this week it dropped to 7M, still remaining a major traffic driver. However, its low transparency score—especially the near-complete lack of information disclosure regarding listed tokens (such as team background, financing history, and token unlocking cycles)—has significantly reduced its overall competitiveness. RootData points out that the lack of standardized data disclosure has become a bottleneck restricting such high-traffic platforms from gaining long-term trust. Furthermore, while OrangeX remained in sixth place, its visits plummeted by over 60% (from 2.4M to 1M), facing severe pressure from user attrition. XT.com, on the other hand, has seen its score decline for three consecutive weeks due to its consistently empty compliance license, indicating a growing trend towards marginalization. RootData adheres to the principle of "transparency first," providing investors with more effective data references through a dual evaluation system of "transparency + liquidity." In the future, RootData will continue to optimize its data interface to help more platforms address their information disclosure shortcomings, providing investors with more credible reference dimensions.

The Bank of Korea has released a regulatory proposal suggesting that personal stablecoin transactions exceeding $10,000 should be limited to transfers from verified wallets.

According to Mars Finance, the legal team of the Bank of Korea has published a research paper titled "Regulatory Scheme for Foreign Remittance Transactions Targeting Stablecoins," proposing regulatory recommendations for large-scale stablecoin transactions. The paper, referencing current South Korean foreign exchange control regulations, proposes constraints on stablecoin transfers exceeding $10,000 between individuals, requiring such transactions to be conducted only between officially certified wallets, along with a pre-reporting mechanism. The institution acknowledges that there are technical obstacles to fully controlling unregistered wallets, but due to anti-money laundering compliance requirements, it is necessary to strengthen restrictions on large-scale cross-border stablecoin fund flows. South Korean regulators have previously repeatedly stated the need to improve the monitoring system for cross-border crypto asset transactions using non-custodial wallets; this paper further refines and implements the regulatory approach.
