Monad Foundation Box: Agent's competitive advantage lies in "influence + iteration speed," but the product itself is extremely easy to replicate.

According to Mars Finance, on April 21st, during a roundtable discussion titled "Decoding Web 4.0: When AI Agents Take Over On-Chain Permissions," Box, the developer relations representative for the Monad Foundation Greater China, discussed the topic of "Agent Moats." He stated that the current technical barriers to entry for AI agents are generally low, and their so-called "moats" do not primarily stem from the product itself, but rather depend more on the founders' or team's understanding and control of AI, as well as external influence. He pointed out that many current agent products essentially rely on open-source code and existing tools for rapid assembly, significantly compressing development cycles; it's not uncommon for a product to be built in just a few hours. However, this also means that product forms are easily copied. With the involvement of cloud vendors or large model vendors, they can often replicate or even surpass these designs in a very short time, causing early-stage startups to quickly lose their competitive advantage. Box further emphasized that in this environment, the survival logic of agent projects is changing: on the one hand, they need to maintain their lead through high-frequency iterations; on the other hand, they need to expand their market influence and user awareness as much as possible to establish a first-mover advantage before the industry fully matures. He believes that if a product's update speed is insufficient and it lacks the ability to spread its message, once it attracts the attention of major companies and they quickly follow up, its life cycle may be significantly shortened or it may even be eliminated from the market.

The Bank of Korea has released a regulatory proposal suggesting that personal stablecoin transactions exceeding $10,000 should be limited to transfers from verified wallets.

According to Mars Finance, the legal team of the Bank of Korea has published a research paper titled "Regulatory Scheme for Foreign Remittance Transactions Targeting Stablecoins," proposing regulatory recommendations for large-scale stablecoin transactions. The paper, referencing current South Korean foreign exchange control regulations, proposes constraints on stablecoin transfers exceeding $10,000 between individuals, requiring such transactions to be conducted only between officially certified wallets, along with a pre-reporting mechanism. The institution acknowledges that there are technical obstacles to fully controlling unregistered wallets, but due to anti-money laundering compliance requirements, it is necessary to strengthen restrictions on large-scale cross-border stablecoin fund flows. South Korean regulators have previously repeatedly stated the need to improve the monitoring system for cross-border crypto asset transactions using non-custodial wallets; this paper further refines and implements the regulatory approach.
