OpenAI poachs users from Claude Code in public: Official Twitter showcases Codex migration tool, blatantly stealing Claude Code users.

According to Beating's monitoring, OpenAI's official Twitter account directly posted a link to the Codex migration tool with the caption "Here it is," and the promotional image reads "Less rate limits, fewer interruptions." No press release, no blog post, just this tweet, beckoning to Claude Code users. This migration tool is built into the Codex desktop application. Open the settings page, click "Import other agent setup," and the tool will scan the existing AI programming assistant configuration on your computer, transferring everything that can be transferred: - System commands and behavior rules - Custom skills and shortcuts - Chat history and projects from the last 30 days - MCP server (protocol for connecting external tools) configuration - Hooks (automatically triggered scripts) and sub-agent settings. For configurations that cannot be automatically converted, Codex will open a separate dialog to guide the user to manually handle each item. OpenAI reminds users to check permissions and authentication settings after migration, as the permission systems on both sides are not compatible, and direct migration may not be effective.

The Bank of Korea has released a regulatory proposal suggesting that personal stablecoin transactions exceeding $10,000 should be limited to transfers from verified wallets.

According to Mars Finance, the legal team of the Bank of Korea has published a research paper titled "Regulatory Scheme for Foreign Remittance Transactions Targeting Stablecoins," proposing regulatory recommendations for large-scale stablecoin transactions. The paper, referencing current South Korean foreign exchange control regulations, proposes constraints on stablecoin transfers exceeding $10,000 between individuals, requiring such transactions to be conducted only between officially certified wallets, along with a pre-reporting mechanism. The institution acknowledges that there are technical obstacles to fully controlling unregistered wallets, but due to anti-money laundering compliance requirements, it is necessary to strengthen restrictions on large-scale cross-border stablecoin fund flows. South Korean regulators have previously repeatedly stated the need to improve the monitoring system for cross-border crypto asset transactions using non-custodial wallets; this paper further refines and implements the regulatory approach.
