Delphi Digital analyzes the marginal changes in the Strategy Bitcoin funding model: STRC becomes a key expansion engine, but risks rise simultaneously.

ChainCatcher reports that crypto research firm Delphi Digital released a new report, "How Far Can Saylor Stretch It," which systematically analyzes Strategy's Bitcoin (BTC) funding expansion mechanism, pointing out that its financing structure is transitioning from "low-cost accumulation" to a stage of "diminishing marginal efficiency." The report shows that in the current Bitcoin-centric asset accumulation system, STRC has become Strategy's core financing tool for continuously purchasing BTC. Early on, it relied on a significant premium in MSTR share price (mNAV far exceeding BTC net asset value) to achieve a positive cycle of "issuance equals accumulation," but as the valuation has fallen to approximately 1.24 times the EV base mNAV, the BTC/share increase effect from common stock issuance is nearing break-even. Meanwhile, while convertible bonds have played an important role in the past, they have accumulated approximately $8.2 billion in principal and will face concentrated repayment pressure after September 2027, putting pressure on the long-term sustainability of the financing structure. STRC provides Strategy with a continuous source of funding to sustain its BTC purchase pace by offering income-oriented investors approximately 11.5% annualized monthly dividends. However, this mechanism also introduces a continuous cash flow obligation, meaning that each round of financing, while increasing BTC assets, simultaneously accumulates future dividend burdens. The report highlights a key risk scenario: if the BTC price stagnates and the MSTR premium fails to recover, the "STRC financing for BTC purchase gains" may be gradually offset by "common stock dilution and dividend obligations." Although the company's approximately $2.25 billion in cash reserves can cover the approximately $1 billion in redemption pressure in 2027, the larger-scale debt and dividend structure in 2028 remains to be addressed. Furthermore, STRC's current authorized issuance cap of approximately $28.3 billion is a critical constraint. Once the cap is reached, the ability to purchase new BTC may slow down, but existing dividend obligations will persist, thus altering the overall BTC/share dynamic growth path.

The Bank of Korea has released a regulatory proposal suggesting that personal stablecoin transactions exceeding $10,000 should be limited to transfers from verified wallets.

According to Mars Finance, the legal team of the Bank of Korea has published a research paper titled "Regulatory Scheme for Foreign Remittance Transactions Targeting Stablecoins," proposing regulatory recommendations for large-scale stablecoin transactions. The paper, referencing current South Korean foreign exchange control regulations, proposes constraints on stablecoin transfers exceeding $10,000 between individuals, requiring such transactions to be conducted only between officially certified wallets, along with a pre-reporting mechanism. The institution acknowledges that there are technical obstacles to fully controlling unregistered wallets, but due to anti-money laundering compliance requirements, it is necessary to strengthen restrictions on large-scale cross-border stablecoin fund flows. South Korean regulators have previously repeatedly stated the need to improve the monitoring system for cross-border crypto asset transactions using non-custodial wallets; this paper further refines and implements the regulatory approach.
