Justin Sun: The BitTorrent team has completed the BTTC cross-chain bridge decommissioning plan, and all funds are safe.
PANews reported on July 8th that Justin Sun posted on the X platform: "The BitTorrent team has informed me that they have completed the BTTC Bridge Sunset Program. Going forward, the BitTorrent team will focus more on decentralized AI and the maintenance of the BitTorrent decentralized protocol. All funds are safe, and users can continue to deposit and withdraw BTTC Bridge funds through partner centralized exchanges."
EthLabs: Advancing hiring, fundraising, and asynchronous cross-chain interoperability based on ZooKeeper technology.
PANews reported on July 6th that EthLabs, an Ethereum ecosystem research organization, announced that it has entered its second week of operation and is actively recruiting and raising funds. The team plans to expand to approximately 10 people soon and 20 people in the medium term, and has already received over 300 applications. Regarding funding, it has secured initial support from Bitmine, Sharplink, and Joseph Lubin, and is seeking one or two additional anchor funders. Technically, EthLabs is accelerating the development of asynchronous cross-chain interoperability based on ZooKeeper technology, believing that more secure cross-chain bridges will provide issuers with confidence in the widespread distribution of assets across the network, while also focusing on the Fast Confirmation Rule's improvement of L1 to L2 link latency.
ZachXBT: A hacker withdrew 3200 ETH from Tornado and laundered approximately $5.5 million through Circle's CCTP cross-chain service.
PANews reported on July 5th that on-chain detective ZachXBT disclosed on his personal channel that a hacker withdrew approximately 3200 ETH via Tornado Cash between July 2nd and 3rd. The funds are related to two private key leaks. The address subsequently used Circle's CCTP cross-chain bridge to launder approximately $5.5 million in assets across chains, further transferring USDC to seven deposit addresses on the Arbitrum network. ZachXBT pointed out that this fund flow exhibits a typical decentralized money laundering path, utilizing mixing tools and cross-chain infrastructure to reduce the difficulty of tracing. The related on-chain assets are still continuously circulating.
Astar launches a cross-chain version of USDC, replacing several older cross-chain assets such as ceUSDC.
According to Foresight News , Astar Network has launched Bridged USDC (cross-chain USDC), deployed by Swapper Finance based on Circle's Bridged USDC standard and Chainlink CCIP. This will replace several older cross-chain assets, including ceUSDC. When users cross chains, the native USDC is locked on the source chain, and an equal amount of Bridged USDC is minted on Astar. This process involves no liquidity pools, has no slippage, and reserves a path for future upgrades to native USDC.
The total cross-chain transfer volume on the USDT0 network has exceeded $100 billion.
According to Foresight News , the USDT0 blog reports that its total cross-chain transfer volume has surpassed $100 billion, taking only 525 days, making it the fastest project of its kind to reach this milestone. This figure will reach $63 billion by January 2026, the first anniversary of USDT0's launch. Currently, approximately 6.5 million active wallets use USDT0 as their settlement infrastructure, covering scenarios such as overnight position settlement on exchanges, cross-chain asset transfers by hedge funds, and usage by ordinary users. The network's total supply turnover rate is approximately 27 times. USDT0's Q1 2026 report indicates that most transfers are not one-off bridging migrations, but rather ongoing transactions resulting from the protocol and applications incorporating USDT0 into their regular settlement operations. USDT0 is a unified liquidity protocol backed by Tether, designed to allow USDT to circulate natively across multiple blockchains without relying on traditional cross-chain bridges.
