Bitunix Analyst: Policy anchoring loosens, exchange rates and energy prices jointly tighten liquidity, BTC retests support level.

On March 19, the Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged, and its dot plot still pointed to only one rate cut this year. Only Milan voted against the cut, indicating a narrowing of internal divisions. However, the Middle East situation was explicitly included as a source of uncertainty, shifting the policy framework from "endogenous inflation and employment" to "external shocks as the primary driver." The market began to repricing the interest rate path, forming a blurred range of "converging expectations of rate cuts + rising tail risks of rate hikes." The Bank of Japan also held rates steady, with the yen approaching the 160 intervention threshold. The dollar remained strong due to a combination of interest rate expectations and safe-haven demand. Japanese stocks and bonds were under pressure, with funds continuing to flow back to the dollar and the energy sector. "Exchange rate pressure + rising oil prices" are simultaneously tightening global liquidity. Oil prices pushed up inflation expectations, putting the Federal Reserve in a stagflation dilemma: rate cuts would strengthen inflation, while rate hikes would suppress the economy. This resulted in a probability misalignment in the market—the probability of a rate hike was once higher than that of a rate cut, representing a repricing of risk premiums, with policy uncertainty becoming the dominant variable. Returning to the crypto market, BTC quickly retreated after testing liquidity above $74,000. Short positions in the $74,000–$76,500 range haven't been fully released; the $71,000–$72,000 structural watershed has been breached; long positions are passively absorbed in the $69,000–$70,000 range; and the $67,500 level represents previous accumulation and a potential second-wave resistance zone. The current pullback is essentially a rebalancing after the release of high-level liquidity. The key lies in whether the $69,000 area can complete the transition from "passive absorption" to "active absorption." Overall, the market is shifting from a "single interest rate cut trade" to a structure influenced by a triple disturbance of "policy, energy, and exchange rates." BTC has entered a liquidity redistribution phase within a range. The short-term focus is not on direction, but on which side of the liquidation chain is triggered and amplified first.

The Bank of Korea has released a regulatory proposal suggesting that personal stablecoin transactions exceeding $10,000 should be limited to transfers from verified wallets.

According to Mars Finance, the legal team of the Bank of Korea has published a research paper titled "Regulatory Scheme for Foreign Remittance Transactions Targeting Stablecoins," proposing regulatory recommendations for large-scale stablecoin transactions. The paper, referencing current South Korean foreign exchange control regulations, proposes constraints on stablecoin transfers exceeding $10,000 between individuals, requiring such transactions to be conducted only between officially certified wallets, along with a pre-reporting mechanism. The institution acknowledges that there are technical obstacles to fully controlling unregistered wallets, but due to anti-money laundering compliance requirements, it is necessary to strengthen restrictions on large-scale cross-border stablecoin fund flows. South Korean regulators have previously repeatedly stated the need to improve the monitoring system for cross-border crypto asset transactions using non-custodial wallets; this paper further refines and implements the regulatory approach.
