Alphabet CFO: Raised 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $180 billion-$190 billion, expects 2027 capital expenditure to increase significantly compared to 2026.

Mars Finance reported on April 30th that Alphabet CFO Anat Ashkenazy stated during the earnings call after the market closed on Wednesday (Eastern Time) that regarding investments, Alphabet has raised its full-year 2026 capital expenditure guidance to $180 billion to $190 billion, up from the previous forecast of $175 billion to $185 billion, adding investments related to the Intersect acquisition completed in March. "We are seeing unprecedented internal and external demand for AI computing resources. Our investments in AI are driving strong growth, as evidenced by record revenue and order backlog growth at Google Cloud and the excellent performance of Google services. Looking ahead, these strong results reinforce our commitment to investing the necessary capital and continuing to capitalize on AI opportunities. Therefore, we expect capital expenditures in 2027 to increase significantly compared to 2026."
