After criticizing DeepSeek for disrespectful interviewing practices, Huawei's "genius youth" Li Bojie is accused by a former investor of "taking money and disappearing."

According to Beating's monitoring, Li Bojie, one of Huawei's first batch of "genius teenagers," complained about his DeepSeek interview experience on social media, claiming that he was accused of cheating during a coding interview and therefore terminated the interview on the spot. This complaint quickly sparked a new controversy, with former investor and co-founder of Web3 venture capital firm ABCDE, Du Jun, publicly accusing Li Bojie of "lacking a sense of contract." Du Jun alleges that Li Bojie and his partner Zhuang Siyuan, after receiving investment from ABCDE to found Metagent in 2024, refused to fulfill their contractual obligations to synchronize financial and business progress, and subsequently disappeared. Du Jun stated that he can accept various project failures, but cannot accept the fraudulent behavior of founders taking the money and running away. Li Bojie resigned from Huawei in 2023 and co-founded Logenic AI (later renamed Pine AI), and has not yet responded to these allegations.

The leader of the UK's Reform Party has been accused of improperly lobbying the central bank against a digital pound, possibly related to undeclared grants.

According to Foresight News , Decrypt reports that Labour MP Phil Brickell has filed a whistleblower complaint with the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner regarding Reform Party leader Nigel Farage's alleged lobbying of the Bank of England. The complaint alleges that Farage's push for crypto policies could benefit his largest donor, Christopher Harborne, a major investor in Tether. The core of the complaint involves a private meeting last September, during which Farage allegedly urged Governor Andrew Bailey to abandon plans to issue a central bank digital currency, "Britcoin." The Bank of England subsequently withdrew its proposed £20,000 cap on individual stablecoin holdings. The investigation focuses on whether there is a connection between this grant and Farage's lobbying activities.

A Bitcoin address that had been dormant for nearly 15 years showed unusual activity, sparking a lawsuit in New York concerning the ownership of a "dormant Bitcoin".

According to BlockBeats, on July 6th, a Bitcoin address that had been dormant for nearly 15 years made its first transaction, transferring out 30 BTC, worth approximately $1.88 million at current prices. Galaxy Research's on-chain data shows that address "1KV47" had not made any transactions since receiving 30 BTC in August 2011, until last Saturday when it first transferred funds outwards. This address is one of 39,069 dormant Bitcoin addresses involved in a New York lawsuit. The plaintiff, "Noah Doe," and two Wyoming-registered companies are attempting to claim ownership of the Bitcoin in these long-inactive addresses under New York State lost property law. Sani, founder of the analytics platform Timechain Index, stated that these addresses collectively hold approximately 3.7 million BTC, worth about $234 billion, including addresses widely believed to belong to Satoshi Nakamoto. Alex Thorn, research director at Galaxy Digital, stated that dormant addresses associated with the lawsuit have seen a significant increase in activity recently. In June, 31 addresses transferred 17,527 BTC, compared to only 5 addresses transferring 4,834 BTC in February. However, the legal community generally considers the lawsuit's grounds weak. Last Friday, a defendant claiming to control one of the addresses, "John Doe 33," filed for dismissal, arguing that Bitcoin addresses are merely data strings and not entities that can be sued. Edwin Mata, CEO and lawyer at tokenization platform Brickken, stated that the mere fact that an address has been inactive for an extended period does not prove that assets have been abandoned. Under property law, establishing abandonment usually requires proof that the owner had a clear intention to relinquish their property rights. Dormant addresses may simply be due to long-term cold storage, lost private keys, or the holder choosing to hold the property long-term, thus insufficient to support the plaintiff's claims.

Vietnamese police reported on the ONUS cryptocurrency case, seizing over 350 kilograms of gold and silver and freezing eight real estate transactions.

Foresight News , citing Vietnam's Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security recently held a press conference to report on the investigation into the ONUS cryptocurrency case. A representative from the Investigation and Security Department (A09) of the Ministry of Public Security stated that in the investigation of the ONUS cryptocurrency exchange's alleged embezzlement, police have seized over 350 kilograms of gold and silver, frozen transactions involving eight properties worth 200 billion Vietnamese dong, and suspended over 300 bank accounts used by the defendants to trade with investors. On March 23rd of this year, police filed criminal charges against eight defendants, accusing them of using computer and telecommunications networks to commit embezzlement and money laundering. Since 2018, the perpetrators have exploited the public's lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies, creating digital accounts through applications and packaging them as virtual currencies. They built trust and attracted investment through cyclical buying and selling between affiliated companies, ultimately embezzling funds. Between 2018 and 2021, they sold over 7 trillion Vietnamese dong worth of cryptocurrency. A representative from A09 stated that the case involves numerous individuals and users, with approximately 5 million user accounts currently in operation. Police have received over 2,000 reports from citizens, and the recovery of assets is ongoing. They are also investigating whether social media influencers colluded with the defendants in promoting the cryptocurrency.
