Hebei Province issued the "Key Tasks List for the Modernization of the Steel Industry in 2026".

Mars Finance reported on May 11 that the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Key Work List for the Modern Steel Industry in 2026," proposing to focus on developing flagship products and enhancing core competitiveness. Zhang Xiaohui, Director of the Steel Industry Division of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that the steel sector aims to achieve breakthroughs in 25 key technologies, develop more than 30 new varieties, identify more than 20 green steel varieties, promote 10 large-scale steel models, and accelerate the construction of 36 key projects this year. The work list emphasizes the continuous development of flagship products. Hebei will develop a number of key products that fill gaps in the domestic and provincial markets. For example, relying on Shougang Zhixin, a project to produce 100,000 tons of high-performance oriented electromagnetic materials annually will fill the global gap in high-grade, high-magnetic-induction oriented electrical steel. Relying on Tangshan Zhengfeng Steel Co., Ltd., a stainless steel angle steel project will fill the gap in Hebei Province's stainless steel angle steel market. (Hebei Daily)
