Brevis releases Pico Prism 2.0, further improving Ethereum's real-time proof-of-blocks efficiency by 5.3 times.

BlockBeats reported on May 12th that Brevis, the ZK smart verifiable computing platform, officially launched Pico Prism 2.0, a full-stack upgrade to its Ethereum real-time block proof system, now officially live on the Ethereum mainnet (with a gas cap of 60 million). According to official disclosures, Pico Prism 2.0 generates proofs for an average of approximately 6.1 seconds per block; 99.9% of blocks are confirmed within a 12-second block interval; the system runs on a dual-machine hardware configuration consisting of two machines with a total of 16 RTX 5090 GPUs, at a total cost of approximately $100,000. It is reported that under the same testing conditions, the computational efficiency is improved by approximately 5.3 times compared to the previous generation Pico Prism 1.0. This upgrade achieves the real-time proof performance goals set by the Ethereum Foundation, including an average latency of less than 10 seconds and local deployment hardware costs kept below $100,000. This milestone also signifies that on-chain real-time ZK proofs are ready for practical implementation on the Ethereum blockchain. Previously, Brevis was selected for the Ethereum Foundation's "On-Prem Proving Initiative," launched in May 2026, which aims to test whether ZK proofs can scale as decentralized infrastructure without relying on a few cloud service providers. This is the closest exercise to actual L1 zkEVM integration to date.
