Nvidia CEO: Vera CPU opens up a new $200 billion market for Nvidia

According to Mars Finance, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated during Wednesday's earnings call that the company's newly launched Vera CPU has opened up a completely new $200 billion potential market (TAM) for Nvidia, a market previously untouched. Released in March of this year, Vera is positioned as the world's first CPU designed specifically for agentic AI. Huang explained that while AI models partially rely on GPUs for thinking, AI agents primarily run tasks on CPUs. Vera is designed to process tokens as quickly as possible, unlike traditional cloud architectures where CPUs are based on multi-instance parallelism. Nvidia achieved another record this quarter with revenue of $81.6 billion, and guidance for the next quarter is $91 billion. Huang revealed that Vera standalone CPUs have sold $20 billion this year. He predicts that there will be billions of AI agents globally in the future, using tools like humans use PCs, driving huge demand for CPUs. Huang stated that every major hyperscale enterprise and system manufacturer is partnering with Nvidia to deploy Vera.
