Binance's stock trading platform saw 84% of its trading volume originate from emerging markets in its first week, with assets under management exceeding $400 million.

According to data released by Binance on Wednesday, its direct stock trading platform, launched on June 1st, managed over $400 million in assets in its first week, with approximately 84% of trading volume coming from emerging market users. A quarter of users are under 25 years old, and nearly 40% of trades were under $100, with a minimum trading threshold of only $5. About 10% of product page visitors registered, of whom 64% placed orders, and 70% chose to hold positions rather than close them on the same day. In terms of sector allocation, information technology accounted for 57% of the inflows in the first week, with semiconductors and hardware accounting for approximately 44%. Binance Research attributes this to users' positive outlook on AI infrastructure. Users traded over 1,100 assets, with 124 assets each exceeding $100,000 in trading volume. The platform offers over 7,000 US stocks and ETFs for trading to eligible non-US users, executed through ADGM-regulated broker Nest Trading Limited, with custody handled by Alpaca.
