BitMine increased its holdings by 24,266 ETH last week, and Tom Lee predicts 2026 will be the year of crypto recovery.

On January 12, according to official news, BitMine announced that the total value of its crypto assets, cash, and investments in "potential projects" has reached $14 billion. As of 7 p.m. Eastern Time on January 11, the company's crypto assets included: • 4,167,768 Ethereum • 193 Bitcoin • $23 million “potential project” investment in Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS) • and $988 million in cash. Bitmine holds 3.45% of the current total Ethereum supply (120.7 million). Bitmine Chairman and Fundstrat Analyst Thomas "Tom" Lee stated, "2026 promises many positive trends for the crypto space. Stablecoin adoption and asset tokenization are driving blockchain to become the settlement layer for Wall Street, with Ethereum particularly benefiting. We still view the leverage reset after October 10, 2025, as a 'mini Crypto Winter.' 2026 will be the year of crypto price recovery, with even stronger growth expected in 2027-2028." He added, "We added 24,266 ETH in the past week, while increasing our cash position by $73 million. Bitmine selectively issues shares at a price higher than its adjusted net asset value, and we remain the world's largest buyer of new Ethereum funds. When MAVAN launches commercial operations, we will become the largest staking service provider in the entire crypto ecosystem."
