ChatGPT's global market share has fallen below 50%, while Gemini and Claude are rapidly closing the gap.
PANews reported on June 16th that, according to TechCrunch, Sensor Tower's latest "State of AI 2026" report shows that ChatGPT still holds the top spot in monthly active users among global AI assistant apps (approximately 1.1 billion), but its market share fell below 50% for the first time at the end of May this year, dropping to 46.4%. Google Gemini's share rose to 27.7%, Anthropic Claude rose to 10.3%, and Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and Meta AI each had individual shares below 5%. The report points out that OpenAI's signing of an agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) triggered a surge in uninstalls, indicating that brand values influence user choices.
The UK's FCA has warned of an "arms race" in the regulation of financial AI and is seeking new powers to regulate models such as ChatGPT.
PANews reported on July 6 that, according to the Financial Times, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned of an "arms race" in the regulation of artificial intelligence in the financial sector and urged that it be given new powers to regulate ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
Meta restricts employee use of Claude and Codex to prevent "model distillation" violations.
According to Beating's monitoring, Meta is strictly limiting its applied AI engineering team's use of Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex, and has even suspended some related tasks to strengthen compliance reviews. Meta is concerned that employees' over-reliance on external tools to develop internal alternatives could lead to the output of competing models seeping into its own training data. This "model distillation" practice could violate the terms of service of competing products and cause serious conflicts with partners. Currently, Meta only allows employees to use external AI for routine tasks such as setting up workflows, cleaning code, and building test infrastructure, and the output must be strictly reviewed by humans; however, it strictly prohibits the use of external models to generate programming challenges to evaluate its internal models, and also prohibits the use of external AI to find code vulnerabilities or devise test tasks. This move is also part of Meta's efforts to reshape its internal toolchain and control its multi-billion dollar internal AI operating costs by promoting its self-developed coding assistant MetaCode (formerly DevMate).
Interactive Brokers deeply integrates ChatGPT and Grok: supporting AI-powered trading in options, futures, and other markets.
On June 23, Interactive Brokers (IBKR) announced the official integration of ChatGPT and Grok to expand its AI-powered agentic trading capabilities. This is another major update following the previous integration of Anthropic Claude. Currently, existing IBKR clients can use the integration without additional fees. After the upgrade, users can securely link their IBKR accounts to mainstream AI platforms, using natural language for portfolio analysis, market opportunity research, and generating trading orders. In addition to the original stocks and ETFs, this update expands the asset classes supported by AI orders to options, futures, and futures options. The interactive functionality is now available on IBKR's various platforms, including Client Portal, IBKR Desktop, IBKR Mobile, and Trader Workstation (TWS). In terms of security design, IBKR employs a human-in-the-middle architecture. AI-generated trading instructions are only non-binding drafts and are automatically stored in the "AI Instructions" tab on the Interactive Brokers platform. Users must manually review and confirm each instruction before placing a formal order. Furthermore, the authentication connector is managed by Interactive Brokers and does not share account passwords or API keys with the AI provider. Users can also revoke access authorization at any time in their settings.
AnTai Technology: MPCVD diamond and diamond-based composite materials can be used for chip heat dissipation
Mars Finance reports that an investor asked whether the company's diamond heat dissipation materials could be used for chip heat dissipation. Ansteel Technology stated on its interactive platform that the company has initiated projects to develop MPCVD diamond and diamond-based composite materials, both of which can be applied to chip heat dissipation. HyperEVM suffers from specified bit deviations and insufficient developer experience, with core applications still limited to a few scenarios.
According to Odaily Odaily, a controversy has seemingly erupted in the Hyperliquid community regarding the positioning of HyperEVM. Some argue that HyperEVM is not designed as a general-purpose Ethereum execution environment, but rather as a dedicated execution layer that interacts in combination with Hypercore. They believe its core design should rely on corewriters and pre-compiled contracts, rather than being used as a general-purpose L1 layer. However, they argue that the current learning curve for developers is steep, and the complexity of system address interactions leads to multiple transactions required for cross-asset operations, resulting in low efficiency. In many cases, asset exchange is even less efficient than the AMM mechanism. Furthermore, HyperEVM has long suffered from being "neglected," possibly due to insufficient investment in ecosystem development as team resources are concentrated on core products such as HIP-3, HIP-4, and portfolio margin. The community suggests that to improve HyperEVM's ecosystem activity, it's necessary to improve developer tools, optimize the corewriter mechanism, and incentivize more on-chain experimental applications similar to DeFi Summer; otherwise, smart contract innovation may continue to slow down.
